LAST EDITED ON Nov-17-03 AT 04:43 PM (EST)
Beth Karas stated earlier today from outside the courthouse:1. According to Dr. Bruce Peterson, Coroner that performed the autopsy on 4/14/03 No evidence of c-section, (man made cut in uterus) That there is NO evidence of vaginal birth of Conner, the top of the uterus was worn, and in his opinion, that is where Conner emerged from Laci.
2. Tape on Conner's body, in his opinion, was from floating debris in the bay.
3. A Marine expert said that the condition of Laci's body was consistant with her being in the bay water for 3-6 months, he also said that Conner's body was consitant with that of a baby that was protected inside his mother's body for that time. While Conner looked better on the outside, he was more decomposed inside.
4. No tool marks were found on the bodies or bones of either Laci or Conner Peterson.
Below is graphic:
On Laci - We all know that Laci was missing some body parts, the cornoner said that this is what was missing on Laci...
Hands, lower arms, portions of both legs, Her neck and her head were missing as well as the organs from her belly button up... all that was internally was... Her uterus.
The clothes found on her body were tan khaki pants, and partial underpants... (Daughter was running in front of me so I am not clear on if there was anything else.)
