"Lost my wife...."

LAST EDITED ON Nov-07-03 AT 05:02 PM (EST)

Did Scott ever tell Amber how his wife "died"? I think he must have told her something. If not, I would have asked "Oh, was she sick? Or was it sudden?" I'm curious to know....

When does Amber testify? I bet they ask her this question.
Edited to add second paragraph.

   Great Question!!!

I haven't heard, but I am sure that if she takes the stand next week, it will come out, because most women would definately ask how the first wife died, I know that I would.

I wonder what it was in particular that caused Amber Frey to hire a private investigator to investigate Scott Peterson?

Maybe he slipped up in something he said like "my wife has" instead of "my wife had". Said something probably as if she was still alive, not dead.

Whoa...wait, when did she hire an investigator? Was it before or after Scott told her his wife was dead?

Oh, the questions....

She said, he said = will we ever know the truth?
Scott Peterston was described by friends which is posted on another thread as having a constant need for sex and had numerous affairs. With his sex drive ruling his life, he would have said anything to get one more gal in bed, IMO.

I don't know when Amber hired the investigator. I would like to know. I think Scott told her he was (had been) married on the 9th of December, at which time they had only been seeing each other for 19 whole days.

It seems like Amber had to have had him investigated before December 9th, because Brocchini testified---

"Brocchini testified he later learned Amber Frey, who was having an affair with Scott Peterson, confronted him December 9 about being married. Frey told police that Peterson explained his wife was dead -- and that the upcoming holidays would be his first without her, Brocchini said."

So she met him on Nov 20 and had him investigated before Dec 9. Intresting....

Thanks Keyo for refreshing me on the sequence of events. I too think it strange that Amber had him investigated when she had only known him for 18 or less days. I wonder what prompted her to do so? Also, I wonder if she was seeking information other than if he was married, and, if so, what that was?

Didn't it come out that a friend of hers was the person that was going to investigate Scott?

Or someone that she knew was in that line of work?

At any rate, she believed that he was just "too good to be true" so she wanted to see if he was hiding anything....

I mean think about it, a guy that you have known for only days, is proclaiming how much he loves you and tells you that in just a month or so, you will be able to be together for good, or along that line... wouldn't you find it unbelieveable?

A single mother finds the man of her dreams in a matter of days, that would make me wonder if he was for real too!

...if Amber met Scott on Nov 20, and had an 'investigator friend' onto Scott by Dec 9, then she would have known Scott was married.

I believe that she wanted to have him investigated after he told her that he was going to Europe to spend time with HER family, because they were so close... She found it so hard to believe how great he was.

It hasn't been released whether or not she actually went through with getting someone to ivestigate him has it?

She didn't mention at the one and only appearance. Now gagged, we will have to wait for Amber Frey testimony only IF she testifies at the preliminary hearing. IF Geragos has heard the rumors of an 'investigator friend' Amber will be questioned , why, dates, times and the results and what then lead her to believe that Scott was single/widowed. * The 'investigator friend' story may be a rumor, nothing more.
