Momof6 says: It was comments like the following that make it difficult for me to see him as Scott's attorney... how do you say all that on National television and then represent the guy? There will be some that will have a hard time buying what Geragos has to say. Because he left the impression with many, prior to representing Scott, that he felt that Scott had committed the crime.
"It was a move that Geragos could not have predicted. Consider his own words, offered as a TV pundit shortly before and after Peterson's arrest:
"You'd be hard-pressed to find a prosecutor who couldn't put together an indictment, let alone a conviction. There's a lot of guys sitting in state prison on a lot less evidence. There is just an overwhelming amount of circumstantial evidence. His defense at this point is, 'Oh, my God, somebody else must have done it and was trying to set me up.' I don't think it's ever going to wash." -- April 16, "Fox on the Record with Greta Van Susteren"
"The most damning piece of circumstantial evidence (a marina receipt) comes out of his own mouth and his own hands. That is just a devastating thing. It's a damning, circumstantial case. The man is a sociopath if he did this crime. This is a guy who has, from Day One, not helped himself in any way." -- April 18, the day of Peterson's arrest, "Larry King Live"
""Because he's a cad. When guys commit adultery, guys lie to a single woman in order to get them into bed."
